Splicewire ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
Early access form. When you request early access, we collect your name, email address, company or role, and a description of your intended use case.
User accounts. When you create an account, we store your name, email address, a securely hashed password, and any OAuth identifiers used for authentication.
User-uploaded data. You may upload text fragments, documents, media files, and URLs to build your knowledge base. This data is stored and processed solely to provide you with the Splicewire service.
Usage analytics. We may use Google Analytics on the marketing site and within the application interface to understand how people use Splicewire. Analytics are never applied to your proprietary knowledge base data.
Server logs. Like most web services, our servers automatically record standard information such as IP addresses, browser type, and request timestamps.
AI providers. To power features like embeddings and completions, your data may be sent to AI providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic. This data is sent strictly for processing your requests -- it is not used to train their models or for any analytics purpose.
Analytics providers. Google Analytics may be used to track usage of the marketing site and application interface. Analytics tracking is never applied to your proprietary knowledge base data.
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with industry-standard protections including encryption at rest and in transit.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request.
Exceptions: anonymized, aggregated usage data and any records we are required to retain by law may be kept after deletion of your account.
Your data is never sold. We do not share your data with third parties except as described above (AI providers for processing your requests, and analytics providers for application usage tracking).
